HARRISBURG, IL (KFVS) -

Harrisburg police are investigating a weekend stabbing.

Police found Eddie E. Hardin Jr., 31, of Harrisburg with multiple stab wounds around 2:30 a.m. Saturday.

Hardin Jr. was taken to Harrisburg Medical Center where he died a couple hours later.

Harrisburg Police Chief Bob Smith says it happened at an abandoned trailer at the corner of Club and National streets.

Another man was taken to an Evansville hospital with injuries.

Andrew Jeffrey McDonald, 30, of Harrisburg, was arrested when he tried to check himself out of the hospital.

Smith says McDonald is a person of interest. No charges have been filed.
