LYON COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

The I-69/WK Pkwy Exit 4 Ramp to US 62 in Lyon County has reopened to traffic.

The concrete beam was cut into two pieces and moved off to the side to allow traffic to resume.

The 125 ft. pre-stressed concrete beam, estimated to weigh about 55 to 60 tons, was on the way to the new US 60 Tennessee River Bridge at Ledbetter for construction of a bridge approach span.

The beam had to be cut into three pieces to allow it to be loaded onto trucks and removed from the ramp right of way.

A replacement beam has been ordered and is expected to be poured on Saturday. The loss of the beam in the ramp incident is not expected to delay work on the new Ledbetter Bridge.
