A new federal report says inmates at jails in Indianapolis, Baltimore, St. Louis and Philadelphia face the nation's highest levels of sexual abuse at the hands of guards.
WAYNE COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -
A Wayne County man was sentenced to 15 years on one felony count of being a previously convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
Tommy James Perry, 33, appeared before United States District Judge Stephen N. Limbaugh, Jr. and received the 180 month sentence.
On June 15, 2011, Perry was involved in an altercation with a man in Williamsville, Missouri.
Around midnight, Perry went back to the man's home with two firearms and fired shots at the residence.
Witnesses identified the shooter as Perry.
The firearms used in the shooting were recovered from Perry's father's residence later that evening.
Perry qualified as an Armed Career Criminal under federal law, because he had previously been convicted of three or more violent felonies, to include: tampering with a witness, third degree assault, and unlawful use of a weapon - constituting domestic violence.
As a convicted felon, Perry was prohibited from possessing firearms and as an Armed Career Criminal he faced a minimum sentence of 15 years in prison.
