VAN CLEAVE, KY (KFVS) -
One person was killed and another injured in a crash in Van Cleave Sunday morning.
Kentucky State Police say Robert D. Bramley, 33, of Murray was driving a 2012 Chevy car northbound in the 100 block of Bethel Road in the Van Cleave community when he failed to negotiate a curve and left the road. The car collided with a utility pole.
Khiry T. Williams, 23, of Chicago was riding in the car without a seatbelt and was partially ejected.
Williams was pronounced dead at the scene by the Calloway County Coroner's Office.
Bramley was taken to the Murray - Calloway County Hospital, then airlifted to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.
Kentucky State Police were assisted by the Calloway County Sheriff's Department, Calloway County Fire/Rescue, Murray Police Department and the Calloway County Coroner's Office.
