MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

Two people were sent to the hospital after a three vehicle crash on Wednesday.

It happened shortly before 4 p.m. at Cairo Road and Noble Road in McCracken County.

According to the sheriff's office, Joshua J. Carruthers, 23,  of Paducah was eastbound on Cairo Road approaching Noble Road when he rear-ended a 2008 Dodge Ram pickup operated by Joshua Harris of Paducah.

Deputies say when Harris' vehicle was rear-ended the momentum of the collision caused his vehicle to move forward which then caused it to rear end a 2006 GMC pickup driven by James R. Swain, 37, of Paducah.

Harris and his 8-year-old passenger Rana L. Knight-Council were taken to the hospital for what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.
