PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) -

A Paducah couple is facing drug charges Wednesday after an investigation.

David B. Minnis, 43, of Paducah was charged with cultivating marijuana (5 Plants or More) first offense and was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.

Tiffany A. Minnis, 37, of Paducah was charged with complicity to cultivate marijuana (5 Plants or More), cited and released.

The Paducah Police Department conducted an investigation after receiving information that marijuana was growing in a backyard of a residence in the 900 block of North 24th Street.

During the course of the investigation, officers say they discovered that five marijuana plants were growing in a vegetable garden in the backyard of the residence.

The marijuana plants were being tended to and cared the same as the rest of the plants in the vegetable garden, according to authorities.
