LIVINGSTON COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

A truck crashed at the east end of the Tennessee River Bridge on US 62 in Livingston County.

The truck rolled over the guardrail and down an embankment, landing near the P & L Railroad tracks below.

P & L Railroad were notified of the truck near the tracks.

Traffic was reduced to one lane for emergency vehicle access.

Later, all lanes were re-opened but further closures are necessary for recovery of the vehicle.

The wrecker company will offload the semi before trying to wench it back up the embankment. They expect recovery crews to be at the site for another six hours or more to complete their work.

However, traffic has to move slow through the area due to emergency response and recovery personnel working along the shoulder.

Lane closures and a shut down of traffic at this site later in the afternoon are possible as crews continue to clean up the site.

There have been several semi crashes at this site over the last couple of years, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area.
