FARMINGTON, KY (KFVS) -

Two men were put behind bars after a home invasion and knife attack in western Kentucky overnight.

State police say a woman called in, saying she had been attacked in her home.

It happened in Farmington, Kentucky, a small town about seven miles southeast of Mayfield.

When troopers arrived, they found the woman and another victim with what appeared to be knife wounds to their necks and hands.  Both told investigators two men entered the home and began assaulting them.

Troopers later arrested Jody Smith and Christopher Smith, both of Calloway County.

The two men now face assault and burglary charges. They were being held at the Graves County Jail.

The investigation continues.
