PEMISCOT COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

A pilot landed a plane into a Pemiscot County cotton field on Sunday.

It happened around 11 a.m. west of Bragg City, Mo. along County Highway 291.

According to Capt. Ryan Holder, a husband and wife were flying the Piper twin engine Comanche plane from West Virginia to Texas. They were almost to Kennett where they planned to refuel when one of the engines failed.

When the plane began descending for landing, the right engine lost power. The pilot was forced to make an emergency landing in a cotton field.

Holder says the passengers were not injured.

The plane received minor damage.
