Prosecutors in Cape Girardeau County want a new judge on the Clay Waller murder case.
Tuesday afternoon, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Angel Woodruff filed a motion to remove Judge William Syler from the case. No reason needs to be given for the move.
This comes a day after Waller's case moved to circuit court.
Waller is accused of killing his estranged wife, Jacque, along with tampering with physical evidence in the case.
Waller is scheduled to face a judge August 6. No word yet if the change of judge will change that date.
