CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

A Cape Girardeau County jury took just an hour Thursday to find a Cape Girardeau man guilty in connection with a 2011 shooting.

Jurors found Seth Summers guilty of assault and armed criminal action.

Authorities say Summers and Jimmy Bell brought a local man out to a rural part of Cape Girardeau County and shot him in the head.

The victim recovered.

On Monday, a judge sentenced Bell to 50 years in prison.

Summers will be sentenced in September.
