Children's names released in fatal crash in Dunklin County

DUNKLIN COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

The names of two girls who were killed in a crash in Dunklin County Friday morning have been released.

Six-year-old Brooklyn L. Scott and 9-year-old Brittlyn D. Scott both of Portageville, Missouri were killed in the crash.

Two vehicles were involved in the collision on Highway 153 and Highway M, seven miles north of Kennett, according to Trooper Clark Parrott with the Missouri Highway Patrol.

According to Kennett Assistant Fire Chief David Horton, it was a two vehicle, side-front impact crash.

Vehicle one was a minivan with four passengers. They did not receive treatment.

Vehicle two was a passenger car with a 28-year-old female driver and three children inside, all from Portageville.

The 28-year-old female driver and the a 1-year-old female child received serious injuries and were airlifted out for treatment to a St. Louis hospital.

There's no word on their condition as of Saturday morning.

And, no word yet on funeral arraignments for the two girls killed in the crash.
