METROPOLIS, IL (KFVS) -

Massac County deputies found a meth lab, military body armor, pit bulls and several guns in a home after making two arrests for methamphetamine Saturday morning.

Leslie Marty Windhorst, 36, and Lynette Windhorst, 37, both of Metropolis, have both been charged with methamphetamine manufacturing, possession of meth making materials, unlawful use of weapon, possession of weapons without a F.O.I.D card, theft of services, unlawful discharge of a weapon.

According to Sheriff Ted Holder, the sheriff's office got a call around 5:30 Saturday morning from the 3000 block of North Ave. in Metropolis.

Holder says a  woman on the line said there was a cab driver at the residence that refused to leave. The next call was from the cab driver who advised the woman had pulled a shotgun on him after refusing to pay the fare.

When officers arrived, the cab driver told authorities that when he saw the woman pull the gun, he started leaving. The driver said that's when he heard a shot.

Deputies arrested Lynette Windhorst, 37, and her nephew Leslie Marty Windhorst, 36, of Metropolis.

Deputies found methamphetamine on Lynette Windhorst and when they checked the Psudoephedrine logs they found that she had purchased pills on Friday.

Deputies applied for a search warrant of the residence and executed it at 9:15 a.m.

Deputies and Metropolis officers found an active meth lab in the house and that  the outside of the residence was under video surveillance.

There were two pit bulls in the residence. Deputies also found military body armor, an assault rifle and two shotguns.

Holder says in the last two meth labs arrests, deputies have encountered pit bulls inside the house.

Both Leslie and Lynette Windhorst are being held without bond.
