Southeast Missouri State quarterback Kyle Snyder will reportedly miss the 2012 season due to a knee injury he sustained during Friday's practice.
Snyder was expected to be Southeast's starting quarterback this year. He tore the ACL in his right knee on the team's ninth day of preseason camp.
"It's a big blow, but we just have to move on," said Head Coach Tony Samuel. "Kyle has a lot of experience and ability and I feel bad for him."
Freshmen Scott Lathrop and Blake Jackson took most of the snaps in Southeast's scrimmage Saturday.
Samuel expects evaluate the quarterback situation in the coming weeks.
"The next couple weeks will give us a better feel for what's going on," he said. "Scott and Blake both did some good things in our first scrimmage."
