MALDEN, MO (KFVS) -
Police say a Malden man is facing rape, kidnapping and weapons charges.
According to court records filed by the prosecutor, Raymond Gene Williamson, 42, of Azbill Road was charged August 13 with forcible rape, forcible sodomy, kidnapping and two counts of armed criminal action.
Malden police received a call after 12:30 a.m. Monday from a woman saying her daughter had not returned home. She said her daughter was supposed to be home at 10 p.m. the night before.
The woman called police back shortly after 1:30 a.m. saying her daughter had been raped.
According to the police probable cause statement, the victim had been in rural Dunklin County and Williamson had asked for a ride home. The victim was driving toward his home when he reportedly told her to drive and do what he said or "he would kill her." The victim told police she noticed Williamson had a knife.
The victim told police she was forced to perform a sex act on Williamson while he drove on various roads in Arkansas.
The victim told police that Williamson stopped the car, told the victim to get out, then stripped and raped her. Afterward, she was told to get in the car and drive.
She was told by Williamson to let her out on Highway J by a bridge just outside of Malden. When he got out, police say the victim locked the doors and drove home.
The victim described Williamson to police and said she knew him through a friend. The victim positively identified Williamson from a photo.
The victim was taken to Dexter Hospital for treatment.
Williamson was arrested at a home on Matthews Road. Police say the suspect admitted to having Hepatitis B and C.
Police say he has prior convictions of first degree sexual abuse and second degree assault.
