SCOTT COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

A Bollinger County man was put behind bars Thursday on child molestation and sodomy charges.

Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter says Ronnie G. Lemons, 57, of Zalma was charged with statutory sodomy in the first degree, and two counts of child molestation.

Walter says the investigation began in July when a deputy responded to a property damage incident.

The deputy was then reportedly made aware of the sexual abuse allegations.

Walter says Lemons was charged after an investigation.

Lemons was taken to the Scott County Jail. Bond was set at $50,000.
