CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

At Arena Park in Cape Girardeau Saturday, it was all about muscle and race cars at the Annual Cars for Kids Show.

It's a fundraiser for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Organizers say the turnout for the event was wonderful and hope to raise at least $6,000.

The event wasn't just for car enthusiasts, but also for the children.

"It kind of allows some of these kids to get involved with the show, not only helping financial but we're getting them out and about and let them feel a part of something that's going on," said MO Chairman Rick Farmer.

People from all over the Heartland and from at least 10 states participated in the event.

All proceeds from the event goes to the MDA.
