CAIRO, IL (KFVS) -
According to transportation officials, the Route 60-62 Bridge at Cairo, Illinois over the Mississippi River will close for safety inspections starting on Monday morning.
The bridge is scheduled to close to traffic on Monday, August 20 through Wednesday, August 22 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
Also, officials say the bridge is scheduled to be restricted to one lane during daylight hours from Thursday, August 23 to Friday, August 31.
Crews will be performing required safety inspections of the bridge.
