ATLANTA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Controversy is brewing around a small town Georgia reality star who is famous for her crazy antics and catch phrases.

Alana Thompson, better known as "Honey Boo Boo Child," and her family are getting a lot of attention this week after reports surfaced that the Georgia Division of Family and Child Services may have visited their home after a viral video was posted on YouTube.

The video, titled Honey Boo Boo Child in Statesboro Bar, shows a child dancing and shouting into a microphone on top of a bar as the crowd cheers.

The video, posted by a user named Borocast, was a hot topic on Nancy Grace's show on HLN Monday night.

According to Grace, sources said investigators were called to the home as a result of the highly publicized parenting methods of Alana's mom, June Shannon, which included giving Alana caffeinated drinks and feeding her roadkill for dinner.

CBS Atlanta News spoke with Alana and Shannon in February 2012 at their home in McIntyre, GA.

The pair talked about their reality show success and what life was like behind the camera.

Shannon also addressed criticism about the energy drinks, or "Go Go Juice," she used to keep Alana pumped up for pageant day.

CBS Atlanta's Jennifer Banks spoke with Joey Skladany, Jr. publicist with TLC.

Banks asked if there were plans to pull the show after the Thompson family deleted their Facebook fan page.

"We have no official comment, but there are no plans to pull the show. The fan site is just undergoing a facelift and should be back up shortly."
