BISMARCK, MO (KFVS) -

Two people were injured Friday evening in connection to a shooting in St. Francois County, Missouri.

According to Bismarck Police Chief Dave Dickerson, it happened around 8:12 p.m. Friday in Bismarck, Mo. on Russell Street.

Dickerson says there was a domestic dispute outside of a house between a man and his wife.

The man's father was inside the house and told his son and daughter-in-law to not come in the house.

According to Dickerson, soon after, the man and his wife were trying to go back inside when the father shot his son in the lower stomach.

The chief says the father also shot at the wife. The bullet ricocheted off the floor and hit the wife.

Police arrived on scene finding both victims had been shot one time each inside the home.

The husband received serious injuries but is now in stable condition at a St. Louis hospital.

His wife sustained minor injuries and is also at a St. Louis hospital.

One person was taken into custody at the St. Francois County Jail.
