Mississippi County mother accused of assaulting 2-week-old infant

    Cooks’ BBQ and Catering in Jackson went up in flames Tuesday night.Jackson Fire Chief Jason Mouser tells Heartland News the building is a total loss, but they were able to stop the fire from spreading to the shed just a mere feet away.He said the fire appears to have started in the stove area of the restaurant.Copyright 2013KFVS. MISSISSIPPI COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

A Mississippi County woman has been accused of assaulting her two week old infant.

Marie Nicole Foy, 27, of Bertrand was charged with first degree assault. 

Sheriff Keith Moore says that according to reports Foy was arrested by Mississippi County Deputies in reference to a case involving her two week infant child.

Moore says the young child suffered a fractured skull in the incident.

Foy was taken to the Mississippi County Detention Center with a bond of $100,000 cash or surety.
