CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - Police are searching for a woman who allegedly stole a change purse from a gas station counter in Cape Girardeau Tuesday evening.
According to the Cape Girardeau Police Department, a women accidentally left her change purse on the counter at the Shell D Mart at 3415 William Street. Officials say the purse contained debit cards, cash, and other personal items.
Minutes later, police say a woman entered the store, grabbed the purse and left the business. Surveillance footage shows the suspect who is accused of taking the purse. Police say she was wearing a tie-dyed shirt and drove a white Pontiac Bonneville.
