    Cooks’ BBQ and Catering in Jackson went up in flames Tuesday night.Jackson Fire Chief Jason Mouser tells Heartland News the building is a total loss, but they were able to stop the fire from spreading to the shed just a mere feet away.He said the fire appears to have started in the stove area of the restaurant.Copyright 2013KFVS. CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

Emergency crews rushed a motorcycle rider to the hospital Saturday after a crash on Interstate 55.

The wreck happened around 3:30 Saturday afternoon in the southbound lanes of the interstate just south of the Jackson Main Street exit in Cape Girardeau County.

Police say a white SUV rear ended the motorcycle.

Crews took the rider to the hospital.  Police say the man was in his 70s.

He was listed in critical condition.

Police say the driver of White Toyota Highlander has no recollection of seeing the motorcycle until after impact.
