EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) -

Evansville Police arrested 25-year-old Marcus McGrew on multiple charges following a chase, Wednesday morning.

Officers were sent to the 2000 block of W. Columbia on a "narcotics complaint". When officers arrived, McGrew was seen sitting in a Ford Explorer in front of the house. As officers approached, McGrew accelerated towards one of the marked patrol cars.

McGrew quickly drove off and officer followed him. The pursuit ended in the 3000 block of Hawaii Dr when McGrew jumped out of his Explorer and ran to a nearby trailer. Despite officer's instructions to stop and lay on the ground, McGrew ran to a woman standing outside and gave her a kiss. McGrew then surrendered and was taken into custody.

McGrew told officers the woman was his wife and he wanted to kiss her before he went back to prison on a Felony Parole Warrant.

Officers identified his wife as 21 year old Reanna Burks. She allegedly tried to give officers a false name, but was unable to conceal her real name. Officers arrested Burks on 4 outstanding warrants.

Officers found several items consistent with the manufacturing of Meth in McGrew's vehicle. McGrew has prior meth convictions and is on parole for meth related charges.
