Allegations of hotel price gouging during University Of Missouri events leads the Missouri Attorney General's office to investigate.
Heartland fans say they were among the victims and their actions may have saved others some money.
Tina Brown says the Tiger Hotel tried to double the price confirmed on her reservations, and said if she didn't want to pay she couldn't stay.
It turns out she isn't the only one with complaints.
She and at least one other customer contacted the Attorney General's office after they say they were asked to pay a higher price on high demand weekends like homecoming and surrounding other home football games.
Brown also contacted Governor Nixon.
The Attorney General launched an investigation and in the end the tiger hotel agreed to charge the original price of about $150 per night instead of nearly $300.
Tina says she's glad to see going through the proper channels paid off, and she hopes she saved other consumers some money.
The Tiger Hotel issued a statement saying they resolved the matter with guests and the Attorney General's Office, and they want to do everything they can to provide guests with a four star hotel experience.
Attorney General Chris Kosher days he appreciates the Tiger Hotel's willingness to refund consumers who were unfairly charged, and any consumers who booked at the lower rate and were charged more should file a complaint with his office.
As for Brown she still plans to stay at the Tiger Hotel when she travels to Columbia for homecoming in October.
