A trial is scheduled for early next year for a southern Illinois woman accused of causing a deadly car wreck.
Thirty-1-year-old Tabitha Weeks of rural Benton has pleaded not guilty to charges of reckless homicide and aggravated driving under the influence.
Franklin County authorities say Weeks' car crossed into the oncoming path of a family's minivan in June, killing that vehicle's 41-year-old driver, Craig Payne of Bonnie, and injuring several other family members.
Weeks, who also was hurt in the crash, is free on $75,000 bond.
During a hearing Thursday, Weeks' trial was scheduled to begin next March 5 in Benton. Her next court appearance is set for Nov. 14.
