OLMSTED, IL (KFVS) -
In Olmsted, Illinois, the town of 350 hosted its 6th Annual Catfish Days on Saturday.
It was a large turnout for the day's events and much of the town participated.
Kids took part in a fishing tournament earlier in the day.
"It's a show of support for the community," said Marilyn Cardinal. "And, I love to watch the kids. They are so much fun. They are. They really have a ball."
It impacts the town's economy as well.
"Oh, I believe it's gonna be a great impact," said Anthony Kimmins. "There's a lot of people out here. A better turn out than I thought. Time to get a few new things, I know for a fact."
The festival concluded with the parade down front street as many tossed candy from the floats to the crowd.
