PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) -

A man who crashed his truck into a house in Paducah Sunday night faces several charges.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, the crash happened at around 9 p.m. at 1345 Husbands Road.

Deputies say John Mimms, 28, of Paducah was driving his Dodge Dakota when he ran a stop sign and crashed into a home owned by James and Twyla Case.  Witnesses say Mimms was driving at speeds exceeding 70 mph.  Officials say Mimms was intoxicated at the time of the incident.  

Mimms and a passenger, Brian Sherfy, 39, of Paducah, were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  Mr. and Mrs. Case were at the home when the incident occurred, but they were not injured. 

Deputies say Mimms was arrested by McCracken County Sheriff Deputies after he was released from the hospital.

Mimms was charged with three counts of wanton endangerment 1st, criminal mischief 1st, driving under the influence of alcohol, 1st offense, failure of owner to maintain insurance 1st, and disregarding a stop sign.
