VILLA RIDGE, IL (KFVS) -

How many people can say they have found a live bobcat in their driveway? Nick and Kay Niestrath sent in pictures to cnews@kfvs12.com of just that!

Kay says her husband Nick took the pictures of a "beautiful bobcat" in their front yard Saturday morning. She says the cat was after a squirrel and then a rabbit, both of which she says escaped.

Nick says the bobcat photos were taken in their front yard in the America community in Southern Illinois on the Ohio River. That is near Villa Ridge.

He says the distance to the cat was 31 yards measured with a laser. The photos were taken with a handheld with 50-500mm lense, set at 500mm on Nikon D7000.
