Thursday, September 27 marks the 10,000th episode of the #1 rated, daytime soap opera, "The Young & the Restless."
The landmark episode features surprises for the characters as they gather for the funeral of presumed dead billionaire Victor Newman.
The show will also celebrate its 40th anniversary in March 2013.
The young and the restless has been the #1-rated daytime drama for more than 23 years.
The Young and the Restless airs on KFVS 12 Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

A fire in Oran destroyed a 2-story house on Tuesday morning. According to the Oran Fire Department, it happened at 4:05 a.m. at 907 highway W, which is right in the middle of town. Firefighters

The tornado, with winds up to 200 mph, cut a 20-mile stretch as wide as two miles through the Oklahoma City metro area. The medical examiner's office reported 24 people died, including nine children.
