Kentucky State Police say two Kentucky men were arrested in the process of burglarizing a house in Hardin, Ky.

On September 26, 2012 the Kentucky State Police arrested Daniel W. Birdsong, 37, of Hardin, KY and Jonni M. Clevinger, 38, of Hardin Ky. for burglary in the second degree, and theft by unlawful taking under $500.

KSP received a call of a possible burglary in progress at a home in Hardin, Ky. 

KSP Troopers responded to the home and found a back door open. Upon investigation, Troopers located Birdsong and Clevinger inside the home with property that did not belong to them.

Birdsong was charged with burglary in the second degree (class C felony), theft by unlawful taking under $500 (class A misdemeanor), possession of burglary tools (class A misdemeanor), possession of a controlled substance (class A misdemeanor), and controlled substance not in proper container (class B misdemeanor).

Clevinger was charged with burglary in the second degree (class C felony), and theft by unlawful taking Under $500 (class A misdemeanor). 

Birdsong and Clevinger were taken to the Marshall County Jail.  Trooper TJ Williams was assisted by Trooper David Archer and Trooper Eric Fields.  The investigation is continuing by Trooper Williams.
