1 injured in car vs. semi crash near Patton

BOLLINGER COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

A Patton teenager is injured after a crash on Hwy. 72 near Patton.

Lucas K. Shrum, 18, of Patton was driving a 2004 Toyota Camry along Hwy. 72 five miles east of Patton when he crossed the centerline and struck a semi truck head on, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol.

It happened around 12:35 p.m. Thursday.

Shrum was taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center. He was wearing a seatbelt.

Kenneth E. Politte, 49, of Potosi was driving the 2007 Freightliner Conventional. He was also wearing a seatbelt.

There were minor injuries, according to Bollinger County dispatch.
