Just four Tuesday's from now, Americans will head to the polls to decide who will be President of the United States.

The deadline to register in Illinois and Kentucky is Tuesday, October 9.

If you're in Missouri and you want to be one of those voters, you have less than 48 hours to register.

While some of the specifics change from state to state, there are some rules that are the same in all of our Heartland states.

You can register to vote by going to the county clerk's office, the secretary of state's web site and print off a registration form, or register at any Department of Motor Vehicles location as long as you're getting a new driver's license or renewing your old one.
