FREDERICKTOWN, MO (KFVS) -

Madison County authorities say a man turned himself in about an hour after running from a deputy.

According to Sheriff David Lewis, the man was in court in Fredericktown, Mo. on Thursday to answer to charges.

The judge ordered the man into custody.  After the deputy got one hand cuffed, the man took off.

Lewis says about an hour later, as the same deputy was out searching for him, the young man came out of the bushes crying and turned himself in.

No word on if the man is facing additional charges.
