FRANKLIN COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -
An 11 year old from Franklin County, Missouri,
was discovered safely after an 8 hour search.
It was
a situation where heartbreak turned to joy for about 100 friends, family, and
neighbors searching for young Maria Huber.
It all started around 6 in the morning Thursday
when her parents noticed she was missing from her Franklin County, Mo. home.
When rescuers first found Maria in a dry
creek bed, she had no pulse, they thought she was dead.
But moments later, some
feel they witnessed a miracle.
Suddenly, she moved. That's when a neighbor, an ER doctor, ran
over and revived her.
Authorities believe hypothermia
had started to set in, and that's why they couldn't find a pulse.
According to her parents, Maria
went to bed around 9. When they realized she was gone they noticed her alarm
clock was set for 2 a.m.
Investigators say it looks
like she may have run away.
Authorities say Huber was
talking as she was transported to the hospital.
Her parents told police
she was upset about something that happened at school Wednesday.
Still, the most important
thing for everyone is they're just thankful 11 year old Maria Huber is alive.
