CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

Forty-two employers will be at a job fair Thursday in Cape Girardeau.

The fair will be held at the Osage Centre on Kingshighway from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Organizers say in those 42 employers, there will be some big companies offering benefits and permanent work. Organizers also suggest that those looking for work be ready for on the spot interviews. Job seekers should also bring resumes if available.

This job fair comes as Missouri's unemployment rate dropped to its lowest level since December of 2008.

Unemployment is now just 6.9% in the state.
