FREDERICKTOWN, MO (KFVS) -

The former president of the Madison County Boys Baseball League was sentenced Thursday on stealing charges.

Prosecutors say Chad Reeves pleaded guilty to the class C felony of stealing.  He was charged with stealing $2077.80 form the baseball league in 2011.

He was sentenced to seven years in the Missouri Dept. of Corrections. Prosecutors say the execution of that sentence was suspended and he was placed on five years supervised probation.

The $2077.80 in restitution was paid prior to sentencing.

Authorities say Reeves was responsible for league finances and collected money for registration fees.

As a special condition of probation Reeves cannot volunteer with any youth-based non-profit organizations.

The case was investigated by the Madison County Sheriff's Office.
