A local group that helps kids do their best will have some better wheels to help with their mission.
Mentors 4 Kids of southern Illinois were awarded a free Toyota Camry Hybrid in Marion Friday as part of Toyota's 100 cars for good program.
The goal is to give away 100 cars to 100 nonprofit organizations within 100 days.
Who wins the new wheels is based on votes from the public on facebook.
Mentors 4 kids is based in Benton and provides volunteer adults to serve as role models to children who want and need a positive role model in their life.
The new Camry will provide transportation for staff who serve children in seven rural counties of southern Illinois to train potential mentors and mentees.

One person has died in a crash near Harrisonville, MO, Thursday evening. The crash happened on Missouri Highway 7 and Walker Road. It involved a car and a tractor-trailer. Harrisonville is in Cass County.
Savannah Nash celebrated her 16th birthday last week. She died Thursday when her car slammed into a semi while she was texting during her first time driving by herself.
