Officers say Ky. man lost consciousness before crash

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

Deputies say a man lost consciousness before crashing his truck Saturday morning in McCracken County.

According to the sheriff's office, it happened shortly after 11 a.m. in the 7300 block of Old Mayfield Road near the Houser Road intersection.

Crash investigators say Larry Lambert, 74, of Paducah was southbound on Old Mayfield road.  And, a medical issue caused him to lose consciousness at the same time he approached a curve.

Lambert's 1988 Dodge pick-up then left the road around 100 feet before coming to rest in a ditch.

Lambert was taken to an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Also assisting officers at the scene were the Hendron Fire Department and Mercy Regional Fire Department.
