MARSHALL COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

A Benton man was arrested for stealing hand tools.

Joshua R. Barnes, 30, was arrested after confessing to stealing a case and a bag containing hand tools.

 On Sunday October 21 Deputy Jason Lane of the Marshall County Sheriff's Office received a call in reference to possible stolen property located at a home on US Hwy 68 E.

The subject that located the property advised there was a black plastic case containing tools and a white garbage bag containing assorted SNAP ON wrenches, grinder and an impact wrench.

 The subject that called stated that the suspect stated that she received the items from some people up the road.

Deputy Lane then spoke with the victim who advised that he did have some missing tools.

The suspect was located and questioned and he confessed to the crime.

Joshua Barnes was arrested and charged with Burglary 2nd Degree and lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center.
