JACKSON, MO (KFVS) -

It was a big turnout Saturday for a beauty pageant in Jackson, Missouri, where everyone walked away a winner.

The event at South Elementary School was for contestants with developmental disabilities, with even some contestants currently fighting cancer.

Both male and female contestants from birth to teen age participated.

They walked across the stage where the audience learned more about them.

They came from all over southeast Missouri and Illinois, and everyone took home a crown and sash.

The proceeds from today's "Beautiful Blessings Beauty Pageant" benefit the Williams Syndrome Association, and a charity of the participant's choice.

Organizers are already making plans for next year's pageant.
