    A fire in Oran destroyed a 2-story house on Tuesday morning.      According to the Oran Fire Department, it happened at 4:05 a.m. at 907 highway W, which is right in the middle of town.     Firefighters
    No one was living in the home at the time of the time. Fire crews tell Heartland News that the family had just moved out.

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

Police say two people are in custody after they stole a car Sunday morning and struck several runners at an intersection in Cape Girardeau.

According to Cape Girardeau Police Sgt. Brad Smith, it happened around 7 Sunday morning.

Vincent T. Anderson, 19, from Little Rock, Arkansas, was charged with assault first degree, tampering first degree, felony leaving the scene of an accident and felony resisting arrest. His bond was set at $75,000 cash only.

Marcus E. Jones, 27, of Cotton Plant, Arkansas, was charged with tampering second degree and resisting arrest. His bond was set at $15,000 cash only.

According to Sgt. Smith,  there were six runners exercising at the intersection Main and Williams Streets.

The suspects allegedly ran through the group with the car, striking three of the runners.

Police say the three runners had moderate injuries.

Police on scene were given the suspects' description by the runners. The car was found on the zero block of North Henderson. The suspects were found nearby walking and taken into custody.

The men were taken Sunday evening to the Cape Girardeau County Jail.
