Boil water lifted in Pope and Hardin counties

POPE COUNTY, IL (KFVS) -

A boil water order for Millstone Water District customers in Pope and Hardin counties has been lifted.

According to Plant Operator Jerry Palmer, Millstone customers in Pope County from Homburg Road on Route 146 to Golconda, Bay City, Eichorn, Rosiclaire and Job Corps are no longer under a boil water order.

Lab samples confirmed the water is safe for drinking and cooking purposes.
