MASSAC COUNTY, IL (KFVS) -

The Massac County Sheriff's Office arrested two people Tuesday in connection with two home burglaries in two days.

According to the sheriff's department, on Monday afternoon, two home owners called deputies, saying their homes had been broken into during the night while they were gone.

Both said thousands of dollars worth of property was taken.

Deputies worked with the Illinois State Police crime scene techs to process the scenes.

Soon the department started receiving tips about possible suspects.

On Tuesday the sheriff's dept received several tips about possible stolen property at 8019 Unionville Road.

Massac County deputies and an agent from the Illinois Department of Parole went to the home and found all the stolen property from both breakin's.

Deputies arrested 27 year old Wesley Reynolds, of Metropolis, and 29 year old Evangeinina Delao, of Unionville.

Both face a list of charges, including 2 counts of residential burglary and 2 counts of theft over $500.00.

The sheriff's department says Reynolds is currently on parole in the state of Illinois.

Both are being held without bond in the Massac County detention center.
