COLUMBIA, SC (WBTV) -

A video tribute to a college football player injured on the field is making its rounds on the internet.

The video is a tribute to South Carolina Gamecock running back Marcus Lattimore, who was injured on Saturday during USC's game against the University of Tennessee.

Team Doctor Jeffrey Guy said Lattimore suffered a significant impact to the front of his right knee. Guy said the ensuing hyperextension of Lattimore's knee resulted in injury to several ligaments.

Dr. Guy said there were no fractures or additional injuries.

Lattimore injured his right knee on a rushing play during the second quarter of the Gamecocks' 38-35 win over Tennessee Saturday.  He suffered torn ligaments in his left knee in the 2011 season.

"Obviously the loss of Marcus was a big blow to all of us," said Spurrier. "It's going to take a while to recover and rehab this."

Fans across the nation took heed to Spurrier's words - and not just Gamecock fans.

A woman who goes by the name LIZHONEY2U on YouTube, a self-proclaimed Arkansas Razorbacks fan, was so touched by Lattimore's injury that she posted a video on the video website.

"I'm singing this for Marcus Lattimore, number 21 for the South Carolina Gamecocks," she said in her video which was posted on Saturday after the game. "Marcus, I'm sorry that you suffered that injury today and I just want you to know that everybody's pulling for your full recovery. We're so sorry that that happened."

She then started to sing "Hero" by Mariah Carey.

Liz, who is dressed in a Razorbacks hat, a headset microphone and red and black boa and a "Hogs are Beautiful" button, has six other videos posted on the site.

"Cause Marcus, we all know that dreams are hard to follow and you've followed your dreams," she said during an interlude of the song.

"And I don't want you to let anything or anybody take your dreams away. You just hold on Marcus cuz' there will always be tomorrow and I know that in time, you're gonna find your way. You're gonna find your way back Marcus, I know that. You will be back."

She ends the video by bowing her head as the music ends before she softly whispers "Go Hogs."

If she looks familiar, you might have seen her before.

This singing superfan went viral just six weeks ago - wearing a plastic pig hat, with her nose taped up to resemble a pig's snout, sporting a rosy-red Arkansas sweatshirt and wearing caked-on, matching lipstick.

She belted out a karaoke-style rendition of the classic, folky ballad United We Stand, Divided We Fall after the Razorbacks blew a 21-point lead and lost in overtime to 30-point underdog Louisiana Monroe
