MARION, IL (KFVS) - A Marion teen is sentenced to a decade behind bars for a sexual crime.
According to Williamson County State's Attorney Chuck Garnati's office, 19-year-old Leland Cheeks of Marion was sentenced to 10 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on Criminal Sexual Assault charges.
The crime occurred on January 16, 2012 in Marion involving a 22-year-old female victim.
Cheeks was sentenced this week in a Marion courtroom by Judge John Speroni.
