CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) -
Ghosts and ghouls of all sorts are competing to take top honors at the Southern Illinois University costume contest.
Students, staff and faculty stopped by the student center in costume and organizers snapped their picture.
The pictures were uploaded on a website for people to vote for their favorite. The student with the best costume wins a prize.
Organizers say some students really went all out.
"I think most of the people that have been dressed in costume are students," said SIU junior and costume contest helper Jamie Kidd. "Plus there were discounts on food if you're dressed in costume, so I think that kinda lured a lot of people in."
If you'd like to check out all the creative costumes you can check out the SIUC Student Center on Facebook, or vote for your favorite costume here.
