Say goodbye to sinking and getting stuck in the grass? Oh, and say hello to TV's Leeza Gibbons. "OK, my friend Leeza wears heels better than anybody I know" says KLTV's Joe Terrell. "I only wear them
But in a world where we encase our cell phones, our sunglasses - we even sell cases to cover our suitcases - do we really need cap covers for our high heels?
POPLAR BLUFF, MO (KFVS) -

"The big problem hunters have is no one wants to fall. No one wants to get injured."

Steve Halter knows that firsthand. He almost fell himself during a recent hunt.

"I've had my stand go to the base of a tree or I've bumped my stand. It happens a lot. You see a deer, you get excited."

Then, the stand jostles, and you go tumbling down...sometimes 10 or 20 feet.

The product, Zacchaeus Strap prevents that. It's basic physics. The Zacchaeus Strap secures your stand to the tree.

Steve climbed a tree to demonstrate how to use it. The stand it barely jiggles.

The same goes for the bar near his legs. Without this strap, it's possible the whole stand would go crashing down, taking Steve with it.

It's so simple...yet so crucial, Steve believes.

"Anytime a hunter can be more safe, I'm for it."

So is his hunting buddy, Wade Cavaness,  who volunteered to demonstrate falling for us.

He trusts his safety belt and this stabilizer strap that much. We watch as he falls out of his stand, but can easily climb back on, thanks to the Zacchaeus Strap.

Without it...that stand would've bit the dust, and quite frankly, a hunter could, too.

"This makes your stand more secure than a ladder stand. If you're not worried about your safety, then you're relaxed. That makes for a pleasurable hunt."

Safer hunts are exactly why the Poplar Bluff inventor came up with this in the first place, after almost falling 18-to-20 feet with a loaded weapon.

"Nobody ever thinks they're going to fall.  One out of three hunters will fall in their lifetime."

By the way, you can get 7 to 12 feet straps for $50, and 12-20 feet straps for $80. The straps easily fold up into this bag you can latch onto your stand.

"Definitely giving it an 'A'."

The Zacchaeus Stabilizing Strap is what hunters call "a trophy buck" on this Does it Work test, earning an 'A'.  You can buy it at the manufacturer's website: ruttnstuf.com and at Redneck Rack 'n' Reels in Poplar Bluff.
