Jackson voters have decided in favor of the Proposition 1.
The vote came down to 3,973 or 59 percent in favor of the proposition and 2,762 or 41 percent opposed.
The proposal is a tax increase for parks and recreation.
City leaders told us in October that even if the proposal passed, the city would have the lowest sales tax rate in the region at 7.225 percent.
People behind the proposal say it will add six cents to a $25 bill.
