Molina named a Finalist for National League MVP

St. Louis Cardinals Catcher Yadier Molina has been named a top 5 finalist for the National League MVP Award by The Baseball Writers Association of America.

The other finalists include Milwaukee's Ryan Braun, San Diego's Chase Headley, Pittsburgh's Andrew McCutchen and San Francisco's Buster Posey.

Molina, who has already claimed a Gold Glove also had a career year with the bat.

He hit .315 with 22 homers and 76 RBIs.

The National League MVP will be named next week.
